WordPress websites designed around how you work
A custom design on WordPress, set up so your team can edit pages safely in the block editor.
In plain English.
WordPress runs a large share of the web because it is free, flexible and easy to pass from one developer to another. The catch is that many WordPress sites sit on a bulky multipurpose theme plus a page builder, which makes them slow and fragile. We design a lightweight custom theme instead, matched to your brand.
Editing happens in the Gutenberg block editor, with custom blocks for things you use often such as service cards, team profiles or price tables. Your staff pick a block, fill in the fields and the design stays consistent. We keep the plugin list short and well supported, so updates stop being a monthly worry.
It suits you if.
- You want to manage content yourself in a familiar editor
- Your current WordPress theme is slow or hard to change
- Several people in your team publish pages or news
- You want a site any WordPress developer could pick up later
What we do.
Custom lightweight theme
Built for your site only, with no unused sliders or demo layouts loading on every page.
Custom Gutenberg blocks
Reusable blocks for your regular content, so new pages look right without any design skills.
Careful plugin choice
A small set of maintained plugins, such as Yoast or Rank Math for SEO and a proper form plugin, without overlapping ones stacked on top.
Sensible user roles
Editors, authors and admins get the access they need, so a new starter cannot delete the home page by accident.
Ready for updates
Built for current PHP 8 releases and tested against WordPress core updates before handover.

Questions people ask.
How much does a WordPress website cost?
Custom WordPress builds start from £995. If you are a sole trader or have up to 5 staff, our £395 small business website may cover what you need. We confirm a fixed price after the free call.
Will I need to pay for plugins?
Most sites need no premium plugins or only one or two. Where a paid plugin is the right choice, the licence is in your name and the cost is passed on at what we pay. We list any of these before you agree the price.
Who keeps WordPress updated?
If you host with us, updates and backups come with the plan, with hosting from £9.95 a month. If you host elsewhere, we can show you how to update safely or put the site on a care plan.
Can I move to another developer later?
Yes. It is standard WordPress with a clearly written theme, so any competent WordPress developer can take it on. You get full admin access and a copy of the theme files.
