We send ongoing service updates where you have indicated an interest. Separately, we may make a relevant initial business approach as explained below. You can opt out of direct marketing at any time.
Public Business Contacts and Local Outreach
Flying Penguin AI Limited (company number 17107961) is the controller for our local business outreach. We research publicly advertised business names, professional contact names and roles, business email addresses, locations and website addresses from business websites, public business directories and official company or professional registers. We keep the source and research date with the record. Contact hello@flyingpenguin.ai to request the specific source for your details.
We may use these details to introduce a relevant website service to a limited company, LLP or another corporate subscriber. Where a record identifies a person, our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in offering relevant services to local businesses, balanced against that person’s privacy and reasonable expectations. Publication of an address is not consent. Sole traders and other individual subscribers are excluded from unsolicited email unless we have an appropriate permission basis. We do not use sensitive personal information for prospecting or make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Our initial email identifies us, links to this notice and provides a reply address for opting out. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing: reply to the email or contact hello@flyingpenguin.ai and we will stop. We check records for previous contact, existing clients and recorded objections before sending. We keep campaign delivery and reply records to prevent repeat approaches and honour requests.
Outreach records are used while the relevant campaign or resulting business conversation is active. We review them when it ends and remove personal details that are no longer needed. We retain the minimum email address and suppression reason needed to honour an objection for as long as we conduct outreach. Our website hosting, database and email delivery providers process the details needed to run this programme; we do not sell the prospect list.
You can ask for access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal details, and object to our use based on legitimate interests. Where applicable you also have portability rights. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and access controls. We use Supabase for data storage, which is hosted on secure, compliant infrastructure within the European Economic Area.
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy, or as required by applicable law. When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted.
Third-Party Services
We may use trusted third-party tools to support our services, such as email delivery providers or analytics platforms. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and are only given access to data necessary to perform their functions on our behalf.
Google Analytics is configured with Consent Mode v2. We do not send the names, email addresses, phone numbers or message contents entered into our forms to Google Analytics, and analytics page locations exclude URL query parameters.
With analytics consent, we keep the recognised AI referral source and its first landing-page path in storage for the current browser tab. This helps us compare visits from services such as ChatGPT with enquiry and contact events. We store a source category, not the prompt you asked the assistant or the full referring URL. If you tell us how you found us on the enquiry form, we save that answer with your enquiry. Observed AI referral details may also be saved with it when analytics consent is enabled.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time. You may also object to or restrict certain types of processing. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@flyingpenguin.ai and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. Any significant changes will be communicated on this page. Continued use of our website following updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
