SEO Audit: where you are, the work, and where it gets you.

In plain English.

An SEO audit is a health check. We crawl the site the way Google does, read your Search Console and GA4 data, test speed with PageSpeed Insights and real Chrome user data, and compare your content and links with the sites ranking above you. The aim is a short list of the problems that matter, written so you can act on it.

Many audits drown owners in warnings that make no difference, such as missing meta keywords or minor HTML validation errors. We rank every finding by likely impact and effort, explain it in plain English and note who can fix it: you, your developer or us.

The audit covers how pages are crawled and indexed, site structure and internal links, page titles and content quality, Core Web Vitals, structured data, backlinks, local listings and how you appear in AI Overviews. You keep the report whether or not we do the work.

It suits you if.

  • Your site gets little search traffic and you do not know why
  • You are about to spend on SEO and want a baseline first
  • You inherited a site from another agency or developer
  • Traffic or enquiries have fallen
  • You want an independent view of work someone else is doing

What we do.

Crawl and indexing checks

Screaming Frog and Search Console show broken links, redirect chains, blocked pages, duplicates and pages Google has chosen not to index.

Content and keyword review

We check whether each key page targets a clear search, matches intent and has enough depth compared with competitors.

Speed and Core Web Vitals

Field data from the Chrome UX Report shows how real visitors experience your site, with specific causes for slow pages.

Links and authority

A summary of your backlink profile against competitors, plus any risky patterns worth investigating.

Local and AI search

Google Business Profile, local citations, and any mentions of your site in AI Overviews or in answers from ChatGPT and Perplexity for key questions.

Ranked action plan

Each fix is scored for impact and effort so you know what to do this week and what can wait.

How it runs.

  1. 01

    Access and goals

You share Search Console, GA4 and CMS access and tell us which services or products matter most.

  2. 02

    Crawl and analyse

We crawl the site, pull performance data and review content, links and local signals.

  3. 03

    Prioritise

Findings are scored, grouped and written up with clear fixes and who should do them.

  4. 04

    Walk through

We go through the report with you on a call and answer questions. You decide what happens next.

Questions people ask.

How much does an SEO audit cost?

You get a fixed price after a short free call. Site size and how many areas you want covered set the figure, so a small business site costs much less to audit than an ecommerce store with thousands of URLs.

How long does it take?

Timing depends on site size and is agreed in the quote. A small site is usually turned round within a couple of weeks of getting access, while a large catalogue takes longer because the crawl and data joining take more time.

Do I have to use you to fix things?

No. The report is written so your developer, your own team or another agency can act on it. Many owners can handle the quick items themselves and bring us in only for the technical parts.

What access does the audit need?

Read access to Search Console and GA4 is enough. CMS access helps us check settings and templates but is optional. We never change anything on your site during an audit, so there is no risk to the live site.
