AI Search Audit: where you are, the work, and where it gets you.

In plain English.

Before spending money on AI search, it helps to know your starting point. Do ChatGPT and Gemini mention you when asked about your service? Do they get your details right? Can their crawlers even reach your site, or is a Cloudflare setting turning them away at the door?

The AI search audit answers those questions in one piece of work. We run a set of real customer prompts through the main assistants and Google AI Overviews, record who gets mentioned and which sources are cited, and review your site, schema, robots.txt and key profiles against what those tools need.

You get a written report with findings, screenshots and a ranked list of fixes, each marked by effort and likely impact. You can act on it yourself, hand it to your developer or ask us to do the work. There is no obligation to continue with us.

It suits you if.

  • You want facts before committing to ongoing AI search work
  • You have heard about AEO or GEO and want to know if it applies to you
  • You suspect AI tools describe your business wrongly
  • Your board or partners have asked what you are doing about AI search

What we do.

Prompt testing

An agreed set of customer questions tested across ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews.

Competitor comparison

Which competitors appear in answers and which sources the tools rely on to describe them.

Accuracy check

Errors in how AI tools describe your services, prices, locations or history, with the likely source of each.

Technical access review

Robots.txt, CDN bot rules, rendering and sitemaps checked for AI crawler access.

Content and entity review

Key pages, schema and profiles assessed for clarity and consistency.

Questions people ask.

How long does the audit take?

Usually a couple of weeks from agreeing the prompts to receiving the report, depending on how many prompts and competitors are included. We give you a delivery date as soon as the scope is agreed, and we stick to it.

What do I need to provide?

A list of your main services and competitors, read access to Search Console and GA4 if you have them, and half an hour to agree the prompts. We do not need permission to change anything on your site for the audit itself.

What happens after the audit?

That is up to you. The fix list is written so you or your developer can work through it. If you want us to do it, we quote for the work separately, and there is no pressure to go ahead.

How much is an AI search audit?

A fixed price based on the number of prompts, assistants and competitors covered. It is quoted after the free call and does not change once agreed, even if the findings turn out to be longer than expected.
