Product data clean enough to sell from
We fix titles, attributes, part numbers and images across your catalogue so products are easier to find, compare and list everywhere.
In plain English.
Supplier data rarely arrives ready to sell. Titles in capitals, missing dimensions, several ways of writing the same thread size, no barcode, a photo with someone else's watermark. Multiply that across a large catalogue and your shop filters stop working, Google Merchant Center rejects products and marketplace listings look careless.
Product data enrichment means filling the gaps and making everything consistent. We standardise titles, split specifications into proper attributes, add brand, MPN and GTIN where they exist, record OE (original equipment) cross-reference numbers and tidy images. Catalogue cleansing removes duplicates, merges variants that should be one product and retires items nobody stocks any more.
We use scripts and AI to do the heavy sorting, and people to check the results, because a wrong thread pitch on a wheel stud is worse than a missing one. The rules are written down, so new products from your suppliers arrive in the same shape.
It suits you if.
- Your shop filters return odd results or none at all
- Merchant Center flags products for missing GTINs or attributes
- Supplier titles and descriptions are inconsistent or copied
- You have duplicate products or broken variants
- You are moving platform and want clean data on the other side
What we do.
Attribute extraction
Specifications buried in descriptions, such as M12 x 1.5 threads or 330mm discs, are pulled into proper fields your filters and feeds can use.
Identifier clean-up
Brand, MPN and GTIN fields filled and checked, and OE cross-reference numbers recorded so buyers searching an original part number find you.
Title and description standards
A title formula agreed with you and applied across the catalogue, with descriptions rewritten where supplier copy is thin or duplicated.
Duplicate and variant fixes
Duplicates merged, variants grouped under one parent product and redirects set from retired product URLs.
Image tidy-up
Consistent sizes and backgrounds, sensible file names and alt text, and removal of images you do not have the right to use.
Rules for new products
Import rules and checks so new supplier lines arrive clean and the mess does not creep back in.
How it runs.
- 01
Sample and score
We take an export, score a sample of products for completeness and errors, and show you where the worst problems are.
- 02
Agree the standard
Together we set attributes, title formats and naming rules for each category.
- 03
Clean in batches
We work through the catalogue category by category, sending you samples to check before each batch goes live.
- 04
Protect it
We add import rules and checks so new products keep to the standard from day one.
Questions people ask.
Can AI do all of this automatically?
It does a lot of the sorting and extraction quickly, but it makes mistakes with part numbers and specifications. We use it for speed and check its output by hand and against supplier data, especially for anything that affects fitment or safety.
How much does product data enrichment cost?
It is priced per project after we have scored a sample of your catalogue, because the effort depends on how messy the data is and how many categories you sell. The price is agreed before work starts.
Where do GTINs come from if my supplier does not provide them?
GTINs are assigned by the brand owner, so we cannot make them up. We look for them in other supplier files and manufacturer data. If a product genuinely has none, Merchant Center lets you mark it as having no identifier, and we set that up correctly.
Will it affect my SEO?
Done carefully, it should help, because clearer titles and attributes match more searches. We keep URLs stable wherever possible and set redirects when products are merged, so the search visibility you already have is not thrown away.
