Postcode lookup that gets addresses right first time
Customers type a postcode, pick their address from a list, and your system gets a clean, correctly formatted address.
In plain English.
Mistyped addresses cause failed deliveries, returned parcels, wasted engineer visits and invoices that never arrive. A postcode lookup tackles this at the point of entry. The customer types a postcode, chooses their address from a short list, and the form fills itself with the address formatted the way Royal Mail holds it.
The data comes from Royal Mail's Postcode Address File, known as PAF, through a licensed provider such as Ideal Postcodes, getAddress.io, Loqate or Postcoder. We help you pick one based on your volume and budget, then add the lookup to your checkout, booking forms, CRM or internal app.
Lookups can return more than an address: UPRN property references, grid coordinates for mapping, or whether an address is a business. We use only what you need, and protect your API key so other sites cannot run up lookups on your account.
It suits you if.
- Deliveries or engineer visits go wrong because of address errors
- Your checkout or booking form asks for a long address typed by hand
- Staff take addresses over the phone and type them in
- You need addresses in a consistent format for couriers or mailings
- You want to check customers are within your service area
What we do.
Type-ahead or postcode first
Either search as the customer types, or the familiar enter a postcode then pick, whichever suits your form.
Royal Mail PAF data
Addresses come from the official Royal Mail database through a licensed provider, who keeps it up to date.
Works on any form
WooCommerce and Shopify checkouts, booking systems, CRM screens, mobile apps and staff-only tools.
Service area checks
Use the postcode or coordinates to confirm a customer is inside your delivery or service area.
Protected API key
Lookups are routed through your server or restricted to your domain, so your credit cannot be used by others.

Questions people ask.
How much does postcode lookup cost?
There are two parts. Our integration work is a fixed quote after the free call, and is usually a small job. The lookups themselves are charged by the provider, either per lookup or as a subscription, and you pay that directly to them. We help you choose the plan that suits your volume.
What if a customer's address is not in the list?
New-build homes and some business units can take a while to appear in the Royal Mail data. Every lookup we install has a clear option to enter the address manually, so nobody is stuck. Manual entries can be flagged for a quick check if accuracy matters to you.
Can you add it to my WooCommerce or Shopify checkout?
Yes. For WooCommerce we can use an existing plugin or add the lookup directly to your theme. Shopify's checkout is more locked down, so the options depend on your plan, and we check what is possible for your store before quoting.
Does it work outside the UK?
Postcode Address File data covers the UK only. If you take international orders, the lookup can be shown only when the country is set to United Kingdom, and providers such as Loqate offer international address search at a different price.
