Directory websites people can search, filter and join
Listings, categories, maps and paid placements, with submissions you approve before they go live.
In plain English.
A directory website lists businesses, venues, suppliers or members and lets visitors search and filter them. Think local trades directories, wedding supplier lists or industry member listings. The value is in the data: accurate listings, useful filters, and pages that can rank for searches like a service plus a town name.
We build directories with location search using Google Maps or OpenStreetMap, filters by category and feature, and listing pages marked up with schema. Listing owners can submit and edit their own entries, with moderation so spam never goes live. Paid listings and featured placements run through Stripe if you want the directory to earn its keep.
It suits you if.

Questions people ask.
How much does a directory website cost?
Directories are quoted after a free call, based on the search features, submissions and payments involved. Simpler ones can use a WordPress directory plugin, while larger ones are built as web apps, where our development starts from £750.
How do I stop fake or spam listings?
New listings and edits go into a moderation queue, with email verification, Cloudflare Turnstile on forms and optional checks such as a company number. Nothing appears publicly until you approve it.
Where will the first listings come from?
Many directories start from a list you already hold, such as members or suppliers, imported from a spreadsheet. A claim process then lets each business take ownership of its listing and keep it current.
Can it rank for local searches?
Location and category pages give Google clear pages to show for searches like a service plus a town. Rankings still depend on content quality, links and competition, so we cannot promise a position.
