Local SEO for customers in your own area
We help you appear in the map results and local searches for the towns you actually cover.
In plain English.
When someone searches for a plumber, a garage or an accountant, Google often shows a map with three businesses under it before the normal results. Getting into that map pack depends on how close you are to the searcher, how well your Google Business Profile matches the search, and how much Google trusts your business from reviews and mentions elsewhere.
Local SEO works on all of those. We tidy your Google Business Profile, make sure your name, address and phone number match everywhere, build pages for the areas you serve, and help you ask for reviews in a way that fits how you already work.
Distance is the one thing nobody can change, so we are honest about which towns are realistic and which are a stretch. You get a clear picture of where you show up today, measured on a grid across your area, and how that moves month by month.
It suits you if.
- You serve customers within a set radius or a list of towns
- Competitors appear in the map results and you do not
- Your business has moved, rebranded or changed phone number
- You have a few reviews but no habit of asking for them
- You run a shop, garage, clinic or office that people visit
What we do.
Google Business Profile tidy-up
Categories, services, opening hours, photos and the business description are reviewed against what people search for.
Consistent contact details
Your name, address and phone number are checked across Yell, Bing Places, Apple Business Connect and other directories, and mismatches corrected.
Area pages that say something
Pages for the towns you cover, written with real detail about the work you do there, never the same text with the place name swapped.
Review requests
A simple way to ask happy customers for a Google review, by text, email or a QR code on your invoice.
Map grid tracking
We check where you appear on the map from a grid of points across your area, so you can see coverage street by street.
How it runs.
- 01
Map your area
We agree the towns and postcodes that matter and record where you appear in each one today.
- 02
Fix the foundations
Profile, listings and contact details are corrected so every source tells Google the same story.
- 03
Add local pages
We write area pages and link them from your service pages and your Google Business Profile.
- 04
Grow reviews and track
You start asking for reviews, and each month we report map positions and calls from your profile.
Questions people ask.
Can you get me into the top three on the map?
Nobody can promise that, because distance from the searcher plays a big part and Google makes the call. What we can do is fix the things you control, which often improves where you appear in nearby areas. We show you the grid results so you can judge it yourself.
I work from home. Do I have to show my address?
No. Google lets service-area businesses hide their address and list the areas they cover instead. We set your profile up that way and make sure your website and listings match, so you are not sending mixed signals to Google.
How much does local SEO cost?
It depends on how many areas and locations you cover. We agree a fixed monthly fee after the free call. Some businesses only need a one-off tidy-up of their profile and listings, and if that is you, we will say so.
Do you write the reviews?
No, and nobody should. Fake reviews break Google's rules and can get a profile suspended. We help you ask real customers at the right moment, and we can help you write polite replies to the reviews you receive, good and bad.
