Schema Markup: where you are, the work, and where it gets you.

In plain English.

Schema markup is a block of code, usually written in a format called JSON-LD, that describes a page in terms machines understand: this is a business, here is its address, this is a product, here is its price and stock level. Visitors never see it, but search engines read it on every crawl.

It can make your pages eligible for rich results such as star ratings, prices, breadcrumbs and event dates, and it helps search engines and AI tools connect facts about your business. Google has narrowed some rich results over time, including FAQ and HowTo, so we focus on the types that still earn visible features or clearer understanding.

We write the markup to match what is visible on the page, test it with Google's Rich Results Test and the Schema.org validator, and build it into your templates so new pages get it automatically. When a price, address or date changes on the page, the markup changes with it, so nothing drifts out of step.

It suits you if.

  • Your search results show none of the extras competitors have
  • You sell products, run events or publish courses or recipes
  • Search Console shows structured data errors or warnings
  • A plugin added schema but you are not sure it is right
  • You want AI tools to have clear facts about your business

What we do.

Organisation and LocalBusiness

Name, logo, address, contact details and social profiles linked so search engines know which business the site belongs to.

Product and Offer

Price, currency, availability, shipping and returns details for shop pages.

Article, Event and more

Markup for blog posts, events, courses, job listings, videos and other content types where it applies.

Breadcrumbs

Breadcrumb markup that matches your site structure and helps Google show where a page sits.

Template-based output

Schema generated from your CMS fields, so it stays accurate when prices or details change.

How it runs.

  1. 01

    Audit what exists

We read the markup your site already outputs, often from several plugins at once, and list conflicts.

  2. 02

    Choose the types

Each page template is matched to the schema types that fit its content and Google's current rules.

  3. 03

    Build into templates

Markup is generated from your site's data, so it updates when the page does.

  4. 04

    Test and monitor

Every template is tested, and Search Console enhancement reports are checked after launch.

Questions people ask.

Will schema get me star ratings in Google?

It makes you eligible, but Google decides whether to show them. Review stars also have rules, such as not marking up reviews of your own business on your own site. We tell you which features are realistic for your pages before we start.

My SEO plugin already adds schema. Is that enough?

Plugins like Yoast and Rank Math cover the basics well. They often miss product details, events or specific service information, and two plugins can output conflicting markup. We check what yours produces and fill the gaps without fighting the plugin.

Does schema help with AI search?

It helps systems read facts about your business accurately, which can only be useful. No AI provider has said it ranks pages on schema alone, so we treat it as one part of making your site clear, alongside good content and consistent information elsewhere.

How much does schema work cost?

A fixed project price based on how many page templates need markup. Most small sites have only a handful of templates, which keeps the work contained. The figure is confirmed in writing once we have looked at your site.
