Car Parts Ecommerce: where you are, the work, and where it gets you.

In plain English.

Selling car parts online is harder than selling most products. A brake disc only sells if the buyer believes it fits, and a wrong part means a return, a courier bill and often a poor review. A parts shop needs fitment data, a clear way to search by vehicle and product pages that answer the technical questions before they are asked.

We work with GSM Performance, a UK motorsport parts retailer, on its WooCommerce stores and vehicle fitment, so we know the practical problems. Large catalogues from many brands, supplier feeds that change daily, parts that fit some engine codes and not others, and exhausts that cost more to ship than a set of pads.

Most of our parts shops run on WooCommerce, which keeps you in control of your data and avoids per-sale platform fees, with our own plugins for fitment, feeds and shipping where off-the-shelf options fall short. We can also work on Shopify if that is where you already trade.

It suits you if.

  • You sell car, van or motorsport parts and want your own shop
  • Your customers often ask whether a part fits their car
  • You import products from supplier price files or feeds
  • You sell on eBay as well and want one catalogue behind both
  • You need shipping rules for heavy, long or restricted items

What we do.

Search by vehicle

Buyers choose their car by registration or by make, model and engine, then see only the parts that fit. The choice stays with them as they browse.

Fitment data you control

Fitment can come from TecDoc K-Types, supplier data or your own tables for performance and motorsport parts that the big catalogues miss.

Supplier feed import

Prices and stock from supplier CSV, XML or API feeds, mapped to your categories and margin rules and updated on a schedule.

Technical product pages

Fields for thread sizes, diameters, materials and part numbers, laid out consistently so buyers can compare like for like.

Shipping that suits the parts

Rules for oversized items, pallet deliveries, aerosols and battery restrictions, so the checkout charges what the courier will.

eBay and Google Shopping ready

Your catalogue feeds eBay listings with K-Type compatibility and Google Merchant Center with brand, MPN and GTIN where you hold them.

How it runs.

  1. 01

    Catalogue review

We look at your products, suppliers and current fitment data, and work out what is missing before any design starts.

  2. 02

    Prototype shop

You get a working shop with a sample of real products and the vehicle search, to test on your own phone before paying a deposit.

  3. 03

    Data and build

We import the full catalogue, map fitment, connect feeds and payments, and set the shipping rules with you.

  4. 04

    Launch and tune

After go-live we watch for searches that return nothing and orders that come back, and fix the data behind them.

Questions people ask.

Do I need a TecDoc licence?

If you want TecDoc data, yes. TecAlliance licenses it, and the agreement and fees are between you and them. Many performance and motorsport parts are not in TecDoc at all, so we often combine licensed data with fitment tables you own.

How much does a parts shop cost?

It depends on catalogue size, how many suppliers you import from and how fitment is handled. We give you a fixed quote after a free call, agreed before work starts. Payment gateway fees, data licences and courier accounts are yours and paid directly.

Can you move my existing shop across?

Yes. We migrate products, customers and order history where the old platform allows export, set up redirects from old product URLs and check that search traffic carries over. Fitment data often needs cleaning on the way, which we scope with you first.

What happens after launch?

You can run the shop yourself, or keep us on a monthly support plan agreed up front for updates, feed problems and new features. Either way, the shop, the product data and the domain belong to you.
