Wireframes and prototypes you can click before you commit

Plan layouts and test ideas with clickable prototypes, so changes stay cheap and decisions are clear.

Wireframing and Prototyping: where you are, the work, and where it gets you.

In plain English.

A wireframe is a plain sketch of a page showing what goes where, without colours or images. A prototype links those screens together so you can click through as a customer would. Both exist for one reason: moving a box in a sketch costs far less than rebuilding a finished page.

We wireframe in Figma, then turn the agreed screens into a clickable prototype or, for website and app builds, a working coded prototype on a staging address. That is how every Flying Penguin build starts. You try it, show it to colleagues or customers, and only pay a deposit if you want us to build it.

It suits you if.

  • You have an idea for a site or app but no clear picture of it
  • People in your business disagree about what it should include
  • You want to test an idea with customers before investing
  • You need something to show investors or your board

What we do.

Low-fidelity wireframes

Quick greyscale layouts to settle structure and content order before any visual design.

Clickable Figma prototypes

Linked screens you can tap through on a phone, filled with realistic content in place of placeholder text.

Working coded prototypes

For our builds, a real version on staging with working pages and forms that you can use.

User testing

We can put the prototype in front of a few customers and report back what confused them.

How it runs.

  1. 01

    Free call

We agree what the prototype needs to prove and who will review it.

  2. 02

    Wireframes

We sketch the structure of the key screens and agree it with you.

  3. 03

    Prototype

The screens are linked up, or built as a working version you can click.

  4. 04

    Test and decide

You and your users try it, we refine it, and you decide whether to go ahead with the build.

Questions people ask.

How much does a prototype cost?

For website and app builds, the working prototype is how we start, and you only pay a deposit after trying it. Standalone wireframes or Figma prototypes for other teams are priced per project after a free call.

How is a prototype different from the final site?

A prototype shows the layout, the flow and the main features so you can judge them. The final build adds finished content, integrations, testing and polish. Changes at prototype stage are quick and cheap.

Can I show the prototype to customers?

Yes, and we encourage it. We share a link that works on any phone, and we can run short tests with customers and report back what they found easy or confusing.

What if I do not like the prototype?

Tell us what is wrong and we change it, or walk away without paying a deposit for the build. Trying it first exists so you never have to buy something you have not seen working.
