UX design that makes your site easier to use
User research, page flows and testing, so visitors find what they need and finish the task they came for.
In plain English.
UX design, short for user experience design, is about how easily people can do what they came to do: find a price, book a slot or ask for a quote. It covers navigation, page order, form design and the words on buttons. Good UX mostly goes unnoticed. Bad UX shows up as people leaving halfway through a form.
We start with evidence. GA4 funnels show where people drop out, Microsoft Clarity session recordings and heatmaps show what they click, and short interviews or tests with real customers explain why. From there we redesign the flows that matter most, test the new version with a few users and hand over designs ready to build.
It suits you if.
- Visitors arrive but few of them enquire or buy
- Customers phone to ask things the website should answer
- Your forms or checkout get abandoned partway through
- You are planning a redesign and want it based on evidence
- Your app or portal generates support calls
What we do.
Analytics review
GA4 funnels and exit pages show where visitors drop out on the way to an enquiry or sale.
Recordings and heatmaps
Microsoft Clarity recordings reveal rage clicks, dead ends and layouts that confuse people.
User testing
Short sessions where real customers try key tasks while we watch and take notes.
Information architecture
Menus and page groupings sorted with card sorting, so labels match the words customers use.
Form and checkout design
Fewer fields, clear error messages and sensible defaults on the forms that bring in money.
How it runs.
- 01
Free call
We agree which tasks matter most, such as booking a slot or requesting a quote.
- 02
Research
We review analytics, set up recordings and speak to or test with real users.
- 03
Redesign and retest
We redesign the problem flows and test them with users again.
- 04
Hand over
You get designs and notes ready to build, or we build them for you.
Questions people ask.
How much does UX design cost?
UX work is priced per project after a free call. A focused review of one flow, such as your quote form, costs far less than research across a whole site. You get a fixed price before we begin.
Do I need UX if I already have a designer?
The two overlap but are different jobs. A designer makes pages look right, while UX checks they work for the people using them. Many clients use us for the research and testing and let their own designer finish the visuals.
How many users do you test with?
For most small business sites, a handful of real customers is enough to surface the biggest problems. We recruit from your customer list where possible, and you can choose to offer participants a small thank-you.
What happens after the research?
You get the problems in priority order, with designs for the fixes. You can hand them to your developer, ask us to build them, or tackle the quick wins yourself first.
