Website accessibility that works for every visitor
Audits and fixes against WCAG 2.2 AA, tested by hand with keyboards and screen readers as well as automated tools.
In plain English.
An accessible website can be used by people who navigate with a keyboard, use a screen reader, zoom text to 200 percent or struggle with low contrast. That covers a lot of your customers, including older visitors and anyone reading a phone in bright sunlight. The Equality Act 2010 also expects service providers to make reasonable adjustments, and websites are included.
We audit against WCAG 2.2 level AA, the standard most UK organisations work to. Automated tools like axe and WAVE catch some issues, but many need a person to find them, so we also test with a keyboard and with the NVDA and VoiceOver screen readers. Then we fix the problems, or give your developer a clear list of code changes.
It suits you if.
- You sell to the public sector or need an accessibility statement
- Someone has complained they could not use your site
- Your customers include older or disabled people
- You want accessibility built into a planned redesign
- An overlay widget has not solved your problems
What we do.
Manual and automated testing
axe and WAVE scans, plus keyboard and screen reader testing on real pages and forms.
Prioritised findings
Each issue is tied to the WCAG success criterion it fails and rated by how badly it blocks people.
Code fixes
We fix headings, labels, focus order, contrast, alt text and ARIA on your site, or brief your developer to.
Accessibility statement
A statement setting out your conformance level, known issues and how people can contact you.
No overlays
We fix the underlying code instead of adding a widget on top, which often makes screen readers harder to use.
How it runs.
- 01
Free call
We agree which pages and tasks to test, such as contact forms or checkout.
- 02
Audit
Templates and key flows are tested with tools, keyboard and screen readers.
- 03
Fix
We fix the issues ourselves or hand a clear brief to your developer.
- 04
Re-test
We test again and help you publish an accessibility statement.
Questions people ask.
How much does an accessibility audit cost?
It depends on how many templates and user flows need testing. Most sites reuse a handful of templates, so we test those rather than every single page. We give a fixed price after a free call.
Will an accessibility widget make my site compliant?
No widget can fix missing labels, the wrong heading order or a form that traps keyboard users. Some overlays make screen readers harder to use. Fixing the code is the reliable route.
Can you guarantee my site is fully compliant?
We test and fix against WCAG 2.2 AA and tell you clearly where you stand. New content and plugins can bring in new issues, so we also show your editors how to keep pages accessible as they publish.
What do you need from me?
Access to the site or a staging copy, a list of the most important tasks people do on it, and admin access if we are making the fixes. Details of any complaints help us decide what to look at first.
