Technical drawings that leave nothing to guess
Manufacturing, assembly and installation drawings with tolerances, notes and revision control, laid out so a supplier can quote and make from them.
In plain English.
A model shows shape. A technical drawing tells the supplier what matters: which faces are critical, what tolerance each dimension needs, what material and finish to use, and how parts go together. Without that, suppliers either guess or add cost to cover the risk. We produce drawings that answer those questions clearly on the sheet.
We follow BS 8888, the UK standard that brings together the ISO rules for technical product documentation. That covers views and projection, dimensioning, general tolerances such as ISO 2768, and geometric tolerancing (GD&T, which controls things like flatness and position) where a part needs it. Each drawing has a title block, material and finish notes and a revision table, issued as PDF and DWG.
It suits you if.
- Suppliers keep asking questions or quoting high to cover risk
- You need drawings for a tender, approval or certification file
- You have 3D models but no proper drawings
- You need assembly or installation drawings for customers or fitters
What we do.
Manufacturing drawings
Detail drawings with the dimensions, tolerances, material and finish the supplier needs.
GD&T where it matters
Geometric tolerances such as flatness, position and perpendicularity applied only to features that need them, keeping cost down.
Assembly drawings
Exploded and sectioned views with item balloons and a parts list.
Installation drawings
Clear sheets showing fixing points, clearances and connections for fitters on site.
Revision control
Revision tables and issue status on every sheet, so everyone works from the latest version.
How it runs.
- 01
Free call
Tell us what the drawings are for and which suppliers or fitters will use them.
- 02
Review
We review your models, sketches or old drawings and list what is missing.
- 03
Draw and check
We produce the drawings and send PDFs for you to check critical dimensions.
- 04
Issue
Signed-off drawings are issued with a revision status, ready for suppliers.
Questions people ask.
Do I really need tolerances on my drawing?
Yes, for anything that has to fit or function. Without them a supplier uses their own judgement, which may be looser than you need, or tighter than you need and more expensive. We apply general tolerances and only tighten the dimensions that matter.
Can you make drawings from my 3D model?
Yes. Send STEP files or native models and we produce drawings from them, adding the dimensions, tolerances and notes a supplier needs. If something in the model looks difficult or expensive to manufacture, we flag it before the drawing is issued.
What does a drawing pack cost?
It is priced per drawing, based on complexity. Simple single-part drawings cost less than large assemblies. We give a fixed quote once we have seen your models or sketches, and revisions after issue are quoted as they come up.
Who checks the drawings?
We check every drawing against the model and your requirements before sending it. You should still review critical dimensions, as you know the function of the part best. Drawings are only issued once you have signed them off.
