Signage Design: where you are, the work, and where it gets you.

In plain English.

A sign has to work at distance and at speed. Letter height needs to suit how far away people will be when they read it, contrast has to survive bright sun and dull evenings, and the message has to be short enough to take in from a passing car. We design with real measurements from your building rather than a guess on a photo.

Fabrication and fitting are done by your chosen sign maker, or one we arrange for you. We supply production-ready vector files at full size or an agreed scale, with cut paths for vinyl, colour references for the materials and a visual of the finished sign on a photo of your premises, which also helps with landlord and planning conversations.

It suits you if.

  • You are fitting out a new shop, office or unit
  • Your fascia is faded or no longer matches your brand
  • Visitors keep getting lost on your site or in your building
  • You need landlord or planning approval and want a clear visual

What we do.

Designed from real measurements

We work from a site survey or your sign maker's measurements, so artwork fits the fascia, window or panel exactly.

Readable at distance

Letter heights and contrast chosen for how far away people will be standing or driving when they read the sign.

Wayfinding

Internal and site signs planned as one system, so directions, room names and safety signs follow the same style.

Safety signs to standard

Fire and safety signs use the recognised BS EN ISO 7010 symbols, so visitors and inspectors understand them at a glance.

Production-ready files

Vector artwork with cut paths, colour references and material notes, ready for vinyl cutting, flatbed printing or fret cutting.

Questions people ask.

Do you make and fit the signs?

No. We design the signs and supply production files. Making and fitting is done by your chosen sign maker, or one we arrange and manage for you. Their costs are separate and are either paid to them directly or passed through at cost.

Do I need planning permission for my sign?

Some signs need advertisement consent from your local council, particularly illuminated signs or those on listed buildings or in conservation areas. We cannot give planning advice, but we produce clear visuals and dimensioned drawings you can submit with an application.

What do you need from me?

Photos of the building taken straight on, rough measurements if you have them, your logo files and the wording for each sign. If your landlord has rules about signage, send those too so we design within them from the start.

Can you match signs to my existing branding?

Yes. We work from your brand colours and fonts, and specify the nearest vinyl or paint match so the sign looks like your website and stationery. If your logo only exists as a low resolution image, we redraw it as a vector first.
