A brand that looks like one business everywhere

We build the full kit around your logo, then write it down so staff, printers and freelancers all produce work that matches.

Brand Identity: where you are, the work, and where it gets you.

In plain English.

Most small businesses end up with a logo from one designer, a website from another and leaflets from whoever was cheapest that month. Each piece is fine on its own, but together they look like three different companies. A brand identity sets the rules once: which colours, which typefaces, how photos should look and how you sound in writing.

We start with what makes you different and who you want to reach, then design a visual system to match. Everything ends up in a set of brand guidelines, written plainly enough that a new member of staff or an outside printer can follow them without phoning you first.

It suits you if.

  • Your website, signs and social posts all look slightly different
  • You are launching, rebranding or merging two businesses
  • Several people create marketing material and need one set of rules
  • You are about to spend real money on signage or a vehicle fleet

What we do.

Positioning first

Before any design we agree who you serve, what you want to be known for and which competitors you must not be mistaken for.

Colour palette with roles

Primary, secondary and accent colours with clear jobs, checked against WCAG contrast ratios so text stays readable on screen.

Typefaces you can license

Fonts with licences that cover web and print use, plus a free Google Fonts fallback for tools like Word and Canva.

Photography and graphic style

Guidance on how your images, icons and patterns should look, so new content fits without a designer checking every piece.

Tone of voice

A short guide to how you sound in writing, with words to use and avoid and before and after examples from your own copy.

Templates

Ready-made templates for what you produce most often, such as social posts, letterheads or quote documents.

How it runs.

  1. 01

    Free call

We talk through where the business is heading and what is not working with how it looks now.

  2. 02

    Discovery

A workshop with you and key staff, plus a look at competitors and customers, to agree positioning.

  3. 03

    Design

We present the visual system applied to real items such as your homepage, a van and a social post, then refine it with you.

  4. 04

    Guidelines

We write the guidelines, build the templates and hand everything over on a walk-through call.

Questions people ask.

Is this different from a logo?

A logo is one part of it. Brand identity is the whole system around the logo: colours, fonts, imagery, tone of voice and the rules for using them together. If you already have a logo you like, we can keep it and build the rest around it.

How much does it cost and how long does it take?

Brand identity is priced per project and agreed before work starts. The size depends on how many templates and items you need. Most projects take four to eight weeks, with the discovery workshop and your feedback rounds setting the pace.

Who needs to be involved from my side?

The owner, plus anyone who regularly produces marketing or talks to customers. An hour or two for the workshop and prompt feedback on the design rounds is usually enough. We do the research, the design and the writing.

What happens when we need new material later?

You have the guidelines and templates, so your team or any designer can produce new items that match. If you would rather hand it over, we can take on ongoing design work using the same files whenever you need it.
