Phishing Protection: where you are, the work, and where it gets you.

In plain English.

Phishing is still the most common way into a small business. A message that looks like it is from Microsoft, your bank or a regular supplier asks someone to log in, open an attachment or change bank details on an invoice. One click can hand over a mailbox or send a payment to a criminal.

Protection works in layers. Better filtering stops more fake messages arriving. DMARC stops criminals sending mail that claims to be from your own domain. MFA means a stolen password on its own is not enough. Staff awareness catches what the technology misses.

We set up each layer to suit your systems. In Microsoft 365, that can include Defender for Office 365 with Safe Links and Safe Attachments, plus external sender warnings. In Google Workspace, we tighten the built-in protections. Then we run a short, practical session with your team.

It suits you if.

  • Someone in your team has already clicked a phishing link
  • You have received fake invoices or payment change requests
  • Criminals have sent emails pretending to be you
  • Your email filtering is whatever came by default
  • Staff are unsure how to report a suspicious message

What we do.

Stronger email filtering

Anti-phishing, impersonation protection and attachment scanning tuned for your mailboxes, using the tools your email platform already offers.

Domain spoofing protection

SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up so mail claiming to come from your domain is checked and, once ready, rejected if it fails.

MFA with number matching

Authenticator apps that ask the user to match a number, which defeats the repeated push requests attackers use to wear people down.

External sender warnings

A clear banner on mail from outside your business, so a message pretending to be a colleague stands out.

Staff awareness session

A short session with real examples, covering fake invoices, login pages and urgent requests, plus a simple way to report them.

Payment change checks

We help you set a rule that any change to supplier bank details is confirmed by phone on a known number.

Questions people ask.

Can phishing be stopped completely?

No. Some messages will always get through, which is why we combine filtering with MFA and staff awareness. The aim is to make a successful attack much less likely and much less damaging when one happens.

What does phishing protection cost?

The setup work is a fixed price after the free call. Some features need a particular licence, such as Defender for Office 365. If so, we explain the options and any licence cost is yours, passed through at cost.

What should we do if someone already clicked?

Change that person's password straight away, sign them out of all sessions and check for new mailbox rules forwarding mail elsewhere. Contact us and we will check what was accessed and help close it down.

Do you run fake phishing tests on staff?

We can, with your agreement and in a way that teaches rather than embarrasses people. For many small teams, a well-run awareness session plus a clear reporting route gives most of the benefit.
