Cookie consent and privacy done the right way

We make your website ask for consent properly, load trackers only when allowed and explain what you do with personal data.

GDPR and Cookie Compliance: where you are, the work, and where it gets you.

In plain English.

Under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, known as PECR, your website must ask before setting non-essential cookies. That includes Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel and most advertising tags. Many sites show a banner, yet still load every tracker before anyone clicks.

We audit what your site actually sets and sends, using browser tools to see each cookie and request. We then install a consent platform that blocks tags until a visitor agrees, with equal weight given to accept and reject buttons, and connect it to Google Consent Mode v2 so your analytics and ads keep working within the rules.

We also look at the wider picture: your privacy notice, contact form data, where your hosting stores information, and if you hold data processing agreements with suppliers. We are not solicitors. For legal advice we point you to one, but the technical side we can put right.

It suits you if.

  • Your cookie banner has only an "OK" button
  • Google Analytics or ad pixels load before consent
  • Your privacy notice was copied from another site
  • You run Google Ads and need Consent Mode v2
  • You are unsure where your website data is stored

What we do.

Cookie and tracker audit

We list every cookie and third-party request on your site, what sets it, and whether it needs consent.

Consent banner that blocks tags

A proper consent platform holds back analytics and marketing tags until the visitor agrees, and records each choice.

Google Consent Mode v2

Consent signals are passed to Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, which Google requires for advertisers measuring UK and EU traffic.

Privacy notice review

We check your notice matches what your site really does, and update the technical sections such as cookies, forms and analytics.

Hosting and supplier check

We confirm where your site and backups are stored and list the suppliers who handle your data, ready for your records.

Questions people ask.

Do small businesses really need a cookie banner?

If your site uses any non-essential cookies, such as analytics or advertising, then yes. The ICO has been actively writing to sites that load trackers without consent. If your site uses only essential cookies, you may not need a banner at all, and we will tell you.

Will consent reduce my analytics data?

Some visitors will say no, so you will see fewer recorded sessions. Consent Mode v2 lets Google model some of the missing data, which softens the drop. The trade-off is data you are allowed to collect.

How much does it cost?

Most small sites are a fixed one-off price agreed after the free call. Some consent platforms charge their own monthly fee depending on traffic. Where they do, that fee is yours and paid directly to the provider.

Can you write my whole privacy policy?

We update the technical parts, such as cookies, analytics, forms and hosting, because we know exactly what the site does. Legal parts like your lawful basis for processing should be checked by a solicitor or a specialist privacy adviser.
