Domain names registered to you and renewed on time

We register .uk, .co.uk, .com and other names with your business as the legal registrant, then watch the renewal date so nothing lapses.

Domain Names: where you are, the work, and where it gets you.

In plain English.

Your domain name is the address of your website and the second half of every email address you use. If it lapses, both stop working on the same morning. We register .uk and .co.uk names with Nominet, the UK registry, and .com names through an ICANN-accredited registrar, with your business recorded as the registrant so the name legally belongs to you.

A common problem we see is a domain that a previous web designer registered in their own name years ago. We avoid that from the start. You receive the registrant record, the expiry date and the details needed to move the name elsewhere, all in writing, and auto-renew is switched on with reminders well before the expiry date comes round.

If you are choosing a new name, we check what is free across .uk, .co.uk and .com, point out anything uncomfortably close to an existing trade mark, and suggest which matching versions are worth holding so a competitor or a scammer cannot pick them up later.

It suits you if.

  • You are starting a business and need a name for the website and email
  • You are not sure who owns your current domain or when it renews
  • You want the .uk, .co.uk and .com versions held in one place
  • A past supplier registered your name and you want it put right
  • You have domains spread across several companies and renewal dates

What we do.

Your business on the record

You are the registrant on the Nominet or ICANN registry record, so the legal right to the name is yours. We manage the account; you own the name.

UK and international extensions

.uk and .co.uk through Nominet, .com, .net and .org through ICANN-accredited registrars, plus country extensions where the registry accepts UK registrants.

Renewals that do not slip

Auto-renew is on by default and the payment card behind it is checked. You get an email reminder 60 days and again 30 days before expiry.

Your details kept off public lookups

Most registrant details are now redacted from public WHOIS and RDAP lookups. We check yours are, and add registrar privacy where an extension still publishes them.

Working DNS from day one

Every name we register gets a DNS zone with records for your website, email and service verification, written down so the next person can follow it.

How it runs.

  1. 01

    Free 15-minute call

We talk through the name you want, the extensions that matter to your customers and any domains you already hold elsewhere.

  2. 02

    Search and register

We check availability and trade mark clashes, agree the list with you, then register each name with your business as registrant.

  3. 03

    Point it somewhere useful

We set nameservers and DNS records so the domain serves your website and receives email, and redirect any spare versions to the main one.

  4. 04

    Keep it renewed

Auto-renew and reminders run in the background, and we tell you before any registry price change affects your renewal.

Questions people ask.

How much does a domain name cost?

The registration itself is a third-party fee set by the registry and registrar. We pass it on at cost, or you can pay the registrar directly. Our time for searching, registering and setting up DNS is a fixed price agreed after a free call, so you know the whole figure before anything is bought.

Should I buy the .uk as well as the .co.uk?

Nominet gave .co.uk holders first refusal on the matching .uk until June 2019, and unclaimed names were then released. If your .uk is still free, holding it stops anyone else using a lookalike of your address. One version simply redirects to the other, so you are not running two websites.

Will I definitely own the domain?

Yes. Your business is the registrant, which is the legal owner on the registry record. We hold the registrar account only to manage renewals and DNS. You can see the registrant name yourself through a Nominet or RDAP lookup at any time.

Can I take my domain with me if I leave?

Yes, and we do not hold names back. For a .uk name we change the IPS tag to your new registrar. For a .com we remove the transfer lock and give you the EPP auth code. We also send a copy of your DNS records so your new provider can rebuild them.
