Brochures people actually pick up and read
We plan the pages, write or edit the copy if needed, and lay out a brochure that works in print and as a downloadable PDF.
In plain English.
A good brochure has a structure before it has a style. We start by agreeing what the reader should know by the last page and what you want them to do next, then plan the page count around that. Stitched brochures go up in multiples of four pages, so we plan the content to fit rather than padding or squeezing at the end.
Layout is done in Adobe InDesign with master pages and paragraph styles, which keeps spacing consistent and makes next year's update far quicker. You get a PDF/X file set up for your printer and a smaller interactive PDF with working links for your website and emails.
It suits you if.
- You sell something that needs explaining before people enquire
- Sales staff need something to leave behind after a visit
- Your product range needs a printed catalogue or price guide
- Your current brochure is out of date and nobody has the source files
What we do.
Page plan first
A flat plan of every spread, agreed before design, so you see the flow and the page count early.
Copy help
We can write from scratch, edit what you have, or simply lay out finished text. You choose.
Catalogue data handling
For product catalogues we can pull names, codes and prices from a spreadsheet, so updates do not mean retyping.
Print and digital versions
One print-ready PDF/X with bleed for the printer, and one compressed PDF with clickable links for online use.
Editable source
Packaged InDesign files with fonts and images included, ready for future editions.
How it runs.
- 01
Free call
Talk us through what the brochure is for, who receives it and roughly how many pages you have in mind.
- 02
Flat plan
We map content to pages and agree the structure, page size and binding before designing anything.
- 03
Layout and proofs
We design the cover and a sample spread for approval, then complete the rest and proof the whole document.
- 04
Files and print
Final print and web PDFs are supplied, and the run is printed by your printer, or one we arrange, at their price.
Questions people ask.
How much does brochure design cost?
It is mostly driven by page count and how much copy and image work is needed. A 12 page brochure with finished text costs less than a 48 page catalogue we write for you. We give a fixed quote after the call, and printing is separate and paid at cost.
Can you write the content too?
Yes. We can interview you and write the copy, edit an existing draft, or work with finished text. Writing is quoted as part of the project, so you know the full cost before we begin and there are no surprises at proof stage.
What paper and binding should I choose?
Saddle stitching, two staples through the spine, suits thinner brochures. Thicker documents usually need perfect binding, the flat glued spine you see on magazines. We suggest paper weights and finishes that suit your budget, and check the spine width with your printer before final artwork.
Can we update it ourselves next year?
You receive the packaged InDesign files, so any designer with InDesign can edit them. If your team does not use InDesign, we can quote for the updates or set up a simpler template for price and date changes.
