Print artwork set up right the first time
We design and prepare print files with bleed, colour profiles and fonts handled, so the printer prints instead of sending them back.
In plain English.
Most print problems come from file setup rather than design. Text too close to the trim edge, RGB images that print muddy, low resolution photos pulled from a website, rich black on thin lines that never registers properly. Each one costs a reprint or a delay. We prepare artwork that avoids them before it ever reaches the printer.
We cover the full range of printed items: posters, booklets, forms, certificates, swing tags, roller banners and large format prints. Every file is checked in Acrobat preflight against your printer's requirements, normally PDF/X-1a or PDF/X-4, with images at 300dpi at final size and the correct ICC profile for the paper stock.
It suits you if.
- A printer keeps sending your files back with problems
- You need items that do not fit a standard template
- You have artwork from another designer that needs fixing for print
- You order from online printers and want files that match their specs
What we do.
Preflight checked
Every file goes through Acrobat preflight for fonts, resolution, colour space and bleed before supply.
Colour handled properly
CMYK conversion with the right ICC profile for coated or uncoated stock, and Pantone spot colours where your brand needs an exact match.
Large format
Roller banners, Correx boards, PVC banners and posters set up at the correct scale and resolution for their viewing distance.
Rescuing rejected files
We can repair supplied artwork that a printer has bounced, rebuilding pieces where needed.
Printer liaison
We talk to your printer directly about specs and proofs, so you are not stuck relaying technical questions.

Questions people ask.
Do you print as well?
We supply print-ready files. You can use your own printer, an online print company, or ask us to arrange a printer we trust. Print costs are yours, and if we arrange them they are passed through at cost.
What is bleed and why does it matter?
Bleed is extra artwork, usually 3mm, that runs past the trim line. Printers cut stacks of sheets and the blade can drift slightly. Without bleed you can end up with a thin white edge on one side. We add it to every file that needs it.
Can you fix files another designer made?
Usually, yes. Send us the original files and the printer's rejection notes. If only a PDF exists, we can often repair it in Acrobat or rebuild the layout. We tell you what is fixable, and what it will cost, before starting.
How much does print design cost?
Each job is quoted individually based on size and complexity. Fixing an existing file is usually a small job, while designing a 24 page booklet is a bigger one. Whatever the job, you get a fixed price before any work starts.
