Automotive Web Design: where you are, the work, and where it gets you.

In plain English.

Garages, specialists and motor trade businesses get enquiries differently from most firms. People search by make, model and fault, they want to know if you work on their car, and they often want to book an MOT or a service there and then. A good automotive website answers those questions on the first screen and makes booking easy from a phone at the side of the road.

Flying Penguin built the websites for J Hill & Son, the Land Rover specialist in Nottingham, and Hills Racing Development, which works on motorsport and fast road cars. We know the difference between a page that lists services and one that shows you understand a Defender chassis or a track-day brake set-up, and we write and build with that in mind.

We are based in Nottingham and Derby and work with motor trade businesses across the UK. You start with a free 15-minute call, then try a working prototype of your new site before you pay any deposit or commit to the build.

It suits you if.

  • You run an independent garage, MOT centre or body shop
  • You specialise in one make or in performance and motorsport work
  • Customers still ring to book jobs that could be booked online
  • Your current site does not show the work you are proudest of
  • You want to be found for the vehicles and jobs you prefer

What we do.

Online booking for MOTs and servicing

Customers pick a slot, enter their registration and describe the problem. You set the capacity per day, so the diary never takes on more than the workshop can handle.

Make and model pages

Dedicated pages for the vehicles you know best, such as Discovery air suspension or Evo turbo upgrades, written so a searching owner can see you have done the job before.

Registration lookup on forms

An optional reg lookup fills in make, colour and fuel type from DVLA data, so enquiries arrive with the right vehicle attached.

Build galleries and project diaries

Photo galleries and short write-ups of restorations, engine builds and track cars, which give people a reason to trust you with theirs.

Local search foundations

AutoRepair schema, consistent name, address and phone details and a link to your Google Business Profile, so search engines understand where you work and what you do.

Fast on a phone

Lean pages that load quickly on mobile data, with click-to-call and directions buttons where people expect them.

How it runs.

  1. 01

    Free call

We talk through your workshop, the vehicles you want more of and how bookings run today. Fifteen minutes, no charge.

  2. 02

    Working prototype

We build a clickable version with your real services and booking flow. You try it on your phone before paying anything.

  3. 03

    Build and content

Once you are happy, you pay the deposit and we finish the build, write the specialist pages and connect booking and lookups.

  4. 04

    Launch and handover

We redirect any old pages, check tracking, go live and show you how to keep the site current.

Questions people ask.

How much does a garage website cost?

A small business website for sole traders and teams of up to five staff is £395. Bespoke builds with booking, reg lookup or larger specialist sections start from £995. We agree the scope and the fixed price after a free call, before you commit to anything.

Can customers book an MOT online?

Yes. We can add a booking form that holds slots by day and job type, or link to a workshop system you already use if it offers online booking. You decide how many MOT and service slots appear each day and which jobs need a call first.

What do you need from me?

Your logo, a list of the services and vehicles you want to be known for, some photos of the workshop and recent jobs, and an hour or so of your time to check the specialist pages. We write the copy and can arrange photography if you need it.

Will I own the website?

Yes. The domain, the content and the site files are yours. If you host with us we keep it updated and backed up, and if you ever move elsewhere we hand over a full copy so another developer can pick it up.
