Wix sites that hold their own in local search
We use every SEO control Wix gives you, and tell you honestly when the platform is the thing holding you back.
In plain English.
Wix has improved a lot for SEO. Pages are rendered on the server, so Google sees the content, and you can now edit robots.txt, set custom meta tags, add structured data per page and manage 301 redirects in bulk through the URL Redirect Manager. Many small Wix sites simply have not used these settings.
There are still limits. You cannot touch the underlying code or hosting, so speed work is about trimming apps, animations, embedded widgets and oversized images. Some page types use fixed URL prefixes such as /product-page/ or /post/, and only certain ones can be changed. Wix also keeps a separate mobile layout, where hidden elements and missing text can catch you out.
For most local businesses, these limits are workable. We set up the SEO settings page by page, write proper titles and descriptions, add LocalBusiness schema, connect Google Search Console and fix the content gaps. If your plans have outgrown Wix, we will say so and explain what a move would involve.
It suits you if.
- Your site was built on Wix or Wix Studio
- You have never opened the SEO settings on each page
- Product or blog URLs include prefixes you did not choose
- Your site looks fine on desktop but thin on mobile
- You are weighing up whether to stay on Wix
What we do.
Page-level SEO settings
Titles, descriptions, canonical tags, social share images and index settings configured for every page, dynamic page and product.
Structured data markup
Wix adds some schema automatically. We add LocalBusiness, FAQ, Service or Product markup in the structured data panel where it is missing or incomplete.
URL Redirect Manager
Old URLs from a previous site or renamed pages are mapped with 301 redirects, imported in bulk from a CSV file.
URL structure
We check which URL prefixes can be edited on your site and set clean slugs on every page and post.
Speed within the platform
We remove unused apps, replace heavy embeds, compress images and simplify animations that slow down mobile pages.
Mobile layout check
Hidden sections in the mobile editor are reviewed so mobile visitors and Google see the same core content.

We report what changed and give an honest view on whether Wix will keep up with your plans.
Questions people ask.
How much does Wix SEO cost?
We agree a fixed price after a free call. Most Wix sites are small, so this is usually a contained piece of work. Your Wix subscription and any premium apps stay on your account and are billed by Wix.
Is Wix bad for SEO?
Not for a typical local business site. Wix now gives you most of the controls that matter. Its limits show on very large sites, complex ecommerce or where you need full control of code and speed. For a few dozen pages and a local audience, it is usually fine.
Should I move from Wix to WordPress?
Only with a clear reason, such as needing features Wix cannot provide or outgrowing its ecommerce tools. A move needs careful redirects to keep your rankings. If it makes sense, our site migration SEO service covers that part.
Do I need to give you my Wix password?
No. You can invite us as a site collaborator with the right role from your Wix dashboard, and remove us whenever you like. Your account, domain and billing all stay with you.
