A marketing director without the full-time salary
We give you senior marketing leadership on a part-time basis, to set direction, manage suppliers and report to the board.
In plain English.
Growing businesses often reach the point where marketing needs a senior owner, but a full-time marketing director is out of reach or not yet needed. Meanwhile marketing is run by whoever has time, suppliers report to nobody in particular, and spend is hard to justify.
A fractional marketing director works with you for an agreed number of days each month. We set the strategy, agree the budget, brief and manage your agencies, freelancers and in-house staff, and make sure tracking and reporting show what the money returns.
You get a regular rhythm: a monthly plan, weekly check-ins with the team, and a board-ready report each month. The arrangement scales up for a launch or down once things are running well, with notice terms agreed up front so you are never locked in longer than you planned.
It suits you if.
- Your business has outgrown ad hoc marketing
- You use several agencies or freelancers with nobody coordinating them
- You have a junior marketer who needs senior guidance
- Your board wants clearer reporting on marketing spend
- You are preparing for a launch, expansion or sale

Questions people ask.
How many days a month do I need?
It depends on your size and how much needs fixing. We usually suggest starting small, with a little more time in the first month while we learn your business. We agree the number of days on the call and review it each quarter.
How is this different from hiring an agency?
An agency delivers specific work. A fractional marketing director sits on your side, decides what work is needed, chooses who should do it and checks the results, including the results of any agencies you already use.
What does it cost?
A monthly fee based on the agreed number of days, set before we start. There is no recruitment fee, pension or employer National Insurance to add, and the notice terms are agreed up front so you know where you stand.
Can you work with my existing team and agencies?
Yes, that is usually the point. We work with the people you already have, agree clear responsibilities and only suggest changing suppliers if there is a good reason, which we explain to you first.
