Ecommerce Support: where you are, the work, and where it gets you.

In plain English.

Once a shop is live, the jobs never really stop. Plugins and themes need updates, payment gateways change their requirements, a new courier needs adding, and something odd happens at checkout at the worst possible moment. Without someone to call, those jobs either wait or get done in a hurry on the live site.

Ecommerce support gives you that someone. For WooCommerce we test updates on a staging copy before applying them, monitor checkout, keep daily off-site backups and watch uptime (whether the site is reachable). For Shopify we review apps, theme updates and checkout changes. On both, you get an agreed amount of development time each month, with anything bigger quoted separately.

It suits you if.

  • You run a WooCommerce or Shopify shop without in-house developers
  • Updates make you nervous because something broke last time
  • Your original developer is no longer available
  • You have a list of small changes that never get done
  • Checkout problems cost you sales before you notice them

What we do.

Tested updates

WordPress, WooCommerce and plugin updates run on staging first, then applied to the live shop once checkout and key pages pass.

Checkout monitoring

Automated checks load the basket and checkout regularly and alert us when something fails.

Backups and uptime

Daily off-site backups and uptime monitoring, with restores handled by us when they are needed.

Development time each month

Hours for small changes such as new banners, shipping rules or product template tweaks, used within the month.

Problem fixing

Errors, payment gateway issues and plugin conflicts investigated and fixed, with a note of what we found.

How it runs.

  1. 01

    Tell us about the shop

On a free call we talk about your shop, what has gone wrong before and what support you need.

  2. 02

    Onboarding audit

We review the platform, plugins, hosting and backups, and fix anything risky before taking the shop on.

  3. 03

    Monthly plan agreed

We set the support level and monthly fee, written down before we start.

  4. 04

    Ongoing care

Updates, monitoring and changes each month, with a short report so you can see what was done.

Questions people ask.

Can you support a shop someone else built?

Yes, that is common. We start with an onboarding audit to understand how it was built and spot anything risky, such as abandoned plugins or missing backups. You get the findings in writing before you commit to a monthly plan.

How much does ecommerce support cost?

It is a monthly fee based on your platform, the size of the shop and how much development time you want included. It is agreed up front with no long contract. If you also want us to host the shop, hosting starts from £9.95 a month.

What happens if my checkout breaks?

Urgent problems such as a broken checkout go to the front of the queue. We agree how you reach us for emergencies when you sign up, and the monitoring is there to flag faults early. We do not publish response times we cannot honestly guarantee.

What happens if I want to leave?

You can leave whenever you choose. Your shop, hosting accounts, domain and code stay in your name throughout, so leaving just means a handover. We give the next developer the logins, notes and backups they need to carry on.
