Backups that work when you need them most
We back up your website, email and files to separate storage and prove they can be restored.
In plain English.
Plenty of businesses believe they have backups until the day they need one. Then it turns out the website backup lived on the same server that failed, the external drive stopped running months ago, or nobody knows how to restore what was saved.
We follow the 3-2-1 rule: three copies of your data, on two different types of storage, with one kept off site. For websites, that means automated backups sent to separate cloud storage. For Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, a dedicated backup service. For office files, versioned copies that ransomware cannot overwrite.
The part most people skip is testing. We restore a sample of files and a copy of your website on a schedule, and record how long it took. That way you know what you would get back and how quickly, before anything goes wrong.
It suits you if.
- Your only website backup is on the same hosting account
- You rely on an external hard drive someone takes home
- You assume Microsoft or Google backs up your email
- You have never tried restoring anything
- Losing a week of data would seriously hurt the business
What we do.
Website backups off the server
Daily files and database backups sent to separate storage, with copies kept for an agreed period.
Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace backup
Mailboxes, OneDrive, SharePoint or Google Drive backed up to a separate service, so deleted or encrypted data can be recovered.
Immutable copies
Where the storage supports it, backups are locked for a set time so they cannot be changed or deleted, even by an attacker with your login.
Scheduled restore tests
We restore samples regularly and record the result, so you know the backups can actually be used.
A recovery plan
A short document saying what is backed up, where, for how long, and the steps to get it back.
How it runs.
- 01
Free 15-minute call
Tell us what data matters most and how much you could afford to lose. We agree the scope and a price.
- 02
Audit
We check existing backups, find the gaps and recommend storage and retention periods.
- 03
Set up
Backup jobs are configured, encrypted and pointed at separate storage, with alerts on failure.
- 04
Test and maintain
We run the first full restore test with you, then repeat tests on an agreed schedule.
Questions people ask.
Does my hosting company not back up my site already?
Many do, but often on the same platform, for a short period and without guarantees. If the host has an outage, suspends your account or the backup is from after a hack, it may not help. A separate copy you control is safer.
How much does backup cost?
Setup is a fixed price agreed after the free call. Storage and backup service fees depend on how much data you have and are passed through at cost, or paid directly by you. Ongoing monitoring and testing can be a monthly fee agreed up front.
How quickly could you restore everything?
It depends on how much data there is and where it is stored. Restore tests tell us the real figure for your setup, and we put that in your recovery plan, so you are not relying on a guess.
Who owns the backups?
You do. Where possible, the storage account is in your business's name, and we keep the access details documented, so you can reach your data even if you stop working with us.
