A clear verdict on every link pointing at you
We review the links Google can see, explain which ones matter and tell you plainly whether any action is needed.
In plain English.
Most sites collect odd links over the years: scraper copies, foreign directories, forum signatures and leftovers from an old SEO firm. Third-party tools label many of these "toxic", which causes needless worry. Google has said for years that its systems ignore most spammy links, so a scary score on its own is no reason to act.
A backlink audit separates real risk from noise. We combine the links report in Search Console with Ahrefs, Semrush and Majestic data, then look for the patterns that do cause trouble: paid links with keyword anchor text, network sites, and link schemes left over from past campaigns.
You end up knowing which links are carrying your rankings, which pages have earned the most authority, and whether a disavow file is warranted. Often the answer is no, and we will say so, along with the links worth protecting and the pages where new links would help most.
It suits you if.
- A previous agency built links and you are not sure how
- A tool has flagged hundreds of toxic links
- Rankings fell and you want to rule out a link problem
- You have received a manual action for unnatural links
- You are buying a domain or a business with a website
- You want to know which pages carry the most authority
What we do.
Merged link data
No single tool sees every link. We combine exports from Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush and Majestic and remove duplicates before review.
Pattern analysis
Links are grouped by referring domain, anchor text, country and first-seen date to spot schemes, sudden spikes and paid placements.
Manual review of risky domains
Suspicious domains are opened and checked by a person, because automated toxicity scores are often wrong in both directions.
Disavow decision
If a disavow file is justified, we build it at domain level in the format Google expects and explain what it will and will not do.
Broken and redirected links
We find links pointing at pages that now return a 404 and redirect them, so the value they carry reaches a live page.
How it runs.
- 01
Gather the data
You add us to Search Console and we export link data from it and from three commercial tools.
- 02
Clean and group
We merge, deduplicate and sort links by domain, anchor and pattern so the unusual ones stand out.
- 03
Review by hand
We visit the risky domains, check context and decide whether each one is harmless, worth removing or a disavow candidate.
- 04
Report and act
You get the findings, the redirect list and, if needed, a disavow file ready to upload, plus a call to agree next steps.
Questions people ask.
How much does a backlink audit cost?
We give you a fixed price after a free call, based mainly on how many referring domains point at your site. A local business site is a modest job, while a large ecommerce site with years of history takes longer. You know the figure before we start.
Do I need to disavow links?
Usually not. Google advises using the disavow tool only when you have a manual action, or a large number of paid or schemed links you cannot get removed. Disavowing good links by mistake can hurt, so we only recommend it with clear evidence.
What access do you need?
Owner or full user access to Google Search Console for the domain, and details of any past SEO or link work you know about. That history often explains patterns that look strange in the data, and saves time chasing them.
What happens after the audit?
You keep the spreadsheet, report and any disavow file. Some clients follow up with a link building campaign aimed at the gaps we found, and sites that have been targeted by spam before often book a quarterly re-check.
